I think it's a shame when people think they have to have 'everything' in order to be happy. Personally I think some of the happiest times can be when you don't have everything you want, because what you want isn't necessarily what you need. Having good friends, a relationship and succeeding at work or school can go towards being happy - of course they help but I don't think you have to have every single one of these things to be happy. It irritates me when people say they have a 'perfect' life purely because they've got all the things they wanted. It's the way you look at what you have that matters, not just what you have. Sometimes the people that have the most in life can be the unhappiest and have more problems than the people that have less.
